Château Pavie 2011 – Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé

Nice nose powerful, elegant, precise, structured and which offers a small sensation of tension. It reveals notes of bright blueberry, blackberry and more slightly crushed cassis associated with touches of fleshy strawberries, morello cherries as well as fine hints of nutmeg, cloves, discreet hints of cardamom, of chocolate as well as very discreet almost balsamic hints, almost roasted herbs and undergrowth. The wine wins if it is decanted. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers a nice gourmandize, suavity, a acidulous frame, a nice juiciness, power, roundness, a little stretched side as well as a nice complexity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed redcurrants, juicy / tangy cassis and more slightly violet associated with touches of crushed cassis, hints of chocolate, toasted almond, bright cherry as well as fine hints. of mocha, cardamom, black tea, with a subtle hint of roasted herbs and a subtle hint of orange. Tannins are precise, elegant, structuring and racy. Nice sapidity and presence of a very discreet almost saline hint in the background / persistence.
