Château Pas du Cerf – Rocher des Croix 2014 – Côtes de Provence La Londe

The wine shows a deep ruby colour. The nose is intense and aromatic, revealing nuances of wet leaves and forest floor, notes of cooked bramble and blackberry pie, a hint of sweet spices, roasted coffee and liquorice. The palate is powerful and bold with elevated alcohol, balanced by opulent fruit. The tannins are juicy and muscular. The wine reveals nuances of overripe blackberries and black cherries, a touch of prunes and figs, spicy notes of black pepper and a hint of garrigue. Good length and a hint of medicinal bitterness on the finish.
