The nose is fresh, fair, straight, herbaceous and tangy, but gourmand. It expresses notes of peppermint, sweet fresh tobacco, rosemary in syrup, chocolate and the tanginess side of cocoa nibs. The fruits on the nose are gourmand and ripe – we find fresh morello cherry, morello cherry in chocolate, fresh and crushed cassis, raspberry, wild strawberry, bigarreau cherry as well as peony, violet, toasted and a hint of coffee, with a sappy touch of pine bark. The palate has an attack on fresh tangy and juicy fruits (fresh morello cherry, fresh and crushed cassis, raspberry, wild strawberry, bigarreau cherry). We then find notes of peony, violet, toasted, chocolate, coffee and pine sap. Freshness, solidity and a beautiful finesse of tannins. A well-structured wine, with a nice length and a tangy touch on the palate.
