Château Panigon 2022 – Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic, with a certain intensity, a fine grain and an intense, almost perfumed side. It reveals notes of black cherry, violet plum small notes of cassis, associated with touches of small roasted red fruits as well as fine hints of crushed fruit, licorice/badiane stick, flowers and a discreet hint, almost fennel. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, with minerality, good definition, a certain rightness, brilliance and gourmandise of fruit. It expresses notes of brilliant cassis, pulpy raspberry small notes of crushed redcurrant, associated with touches of tobacco, nutmeg and a subtle hint, almost graphene, roasted hazelnut and a floral hint. Good length. Slightly chewy tannins with a subtle hint of saltiness and good bitterness in the background.
