The wine needs to be decanted. The nose is spicy and offers a slight darkness, even an elegant austerity. It reveals notes of camphor, black pepper and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of star anise, elegant roasted small red fruits as well as hints of blond tobacco and a subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, mineral, well-balanced, nicely racy and offers accuracy as well as suppleness. Airy and delicate in its richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, pulpy/juicy raspberry and small notes of bright redcurrant associated with touches of iodized/racy gravels as well as fine hints of infusion, nutmeg and toast. Tannins are mellow and gourmands. Good length.
