The nose is slightly concentrated as well as slightly firm. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed strawberry and gray pepper associated with fine touches of raspberry, spices as well as subtle touches of Bourbon vanilla and caramelization. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight, mineral and offers a small fat, a fine acid frame as well as a good guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and more slightly crushed redcurrant associated with small touches of cherry, racy minerality, caramelization and chocolate. Tannins are well-built. Good length and good persistence. Gourmandize and presence of a touch of caramelization, toasted, dark chocolate bitter as well as a very discreet hint of toasted bread on the persistence.
