The nose is aromatic and slightly more austere than vintages 2012 and 2014. It reveals fine notes of oak and touches of coffee associated with fine touches of undergrowth as well as hints of cassis, dried blackberry and very discreet / fine hints of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, fluid, fine, mineral (frame), beautifully gourmande, quite supple and offers a nice definition, a good volume, a nice grain and a beautiful finesse. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of dried wild strawberry combined with a discrete hint of wild black berries as well as a discreet touch of licorice stick, a discreet hint of dark chocolate, sweet spices and a few toasted hints on the finish. Good length.
