Château Palais Cardinal – L’Amphore 2022 – Saint-Emilion

Château Palais Cardinal – L’Amphore 2022 – Saint-Emilion

The nose has a contained, finely tight character, which benefits from being decanted. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, concentrated small red fruits and, more slightly, nutmeg, associated with fine almost tiled hints, a subtle floral touch and a nuance of smoke. The palate is mineral, fresh and supple, with a fine fat balanced by freshness. It offers notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, juicy/pulpy blackcurrant and, more slightly, fresh flowers, associated with touches of crushed small fruits, toasted almond and minerality, as well as fine hints of sweet and almost toasted spices. Good length. A wine that stands out for its freshness and the clarity of its fruit.
