On the nose, fruity with subtle concentration, a slight obscurity. It reveals notes of ripe blackberries, lily and hints of minerality associated with small touches of blackcurrant, fresh black plum, black tea and discreet wafts of saffron and spices. On the palate it is fruity and offers freshness, good definition, a little gourmandize, a fine tension, and a subtly mastered richness. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright black currant, hints of plump raspberry combined with a touch of black plum, and nuances of black tea, saffron and fine dark chocolate. A fine chewiness on the finish/persistence. A good work on the bitters/bitterness of the cocoa on the finish/persistence.
