The nose is fruity, fresh and reveals a fine power. There are notes of bright raspberry, cherry and, to a lesser extent, blackcurrant, combined with hints of violet, as well as delicate hints of nutmeg, sweet blond tobacco and fine spices. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, gourmandize, fleshiness and an acidic backbone. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackcurrant, raspberry and, more lightly, pulpy red currant, combined with fine touches of fleshy cherry, cherry blossom, chocolate, as well as hints of sweet blond tobacco and fine toasted notes. The tannins are racy and finely pronounced.
