The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and reveals a certain intensity, a fine power, a nice finesse/power of grain. We find notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, pulpy raspberry and more slightly racy gravel combined with fine nuances of violet, discrete notes of sweet pepper, and a subtle hint of smoke. The palate is nicely conducted and offers a nice freshness, a nice juiciness, a nice brightness, a nice purity of fruit, a discreetly tight power. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy cherry, juicy redcurrant and more lightly tart blackcurrant notes combined with fine touches of racy/seedy minerality, salinity and a subtle hint of fresh flowers. Good length. The tannins are precise, racy and slightly firm. A very discreet hint of mocha on the finish.
