The nose is fresh, elegant and reveals a certain brightness of fruit, complexity, a little spiciness and a little darkness/concentration. There are notes of plump violet plum, plump cherry and slightly more violet with hints of spice, Cuben pepper, fine cardamom, crushed red berries and fine bergamot and star anise. The palate is fresh, balanced and reveals elegance, minerality, tension, straightness and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of full/juicy blackberry, full/juicy small red berries and more lightly violet combined with hints of bright blackcurrant, fine hints of full/fresh cherry, violet/cherry blossom, cardamom, a subtle hint of star anise, fresh blond tobacco, a discreet hint of bergamot and an imperceptible hint of clove. Nice freshness and definition of the fruit (fresh and juicy at the same time). Sapidity on the finish / persistence. A fresher, more “classic” style.
