The nose is racy and offers elegance, depth, good definition, precision, a nice grain and a certain purity of fruit. There are notes of fresh wild blackberry/blackberry, blackcurrant and more slightly red berry fruit combined with a touch of lily, cherry, fine hints of liquorice stick and discreet hints of nutmeg and grey pepper. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers a fresh/mineral framework, gourmandise, nice definition and elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe blackcurrant, pulpy/juicy raspberry and more slightly violet combined with hints of juicy/crunchy cherry and hints of liquorice stick, cinnamon and pepper. Good length. Lingers on chocolate.
