The nose is elegant, fruity and reveals a certain delicacy in its power, harmony, richness and a nice ripeness of fruit. There are notes of fairly ripe raspberry, fleshy/pulpy redcurrant and more slightly blueberry combined with hints of roasted cherry as well as fine hints of violet as well as fine hints of racy cherry blossom as well as a subtle hint of fairly ripe dark berries, a discreet hint of sweet spices, graphite, toastiness, a subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is fresh, mineral, elegant, balanced and reveals a nice definition, creaminess, freshness, a nice acidic backbone, an enveloping quality, a fine fleshiness, pulpiness and a discreet crunchy side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, fairly ripe small red berries and more lightly roasted cherry combined with fine hints of violet, fairly spicy black berries as well as discreet hints of toastiness, fresh vanilla, a subtle hint of cardamom, toasted hazelnut, a subtle hint of local sense of place/thickness and salinity. The tannins are mellow and sapid on the finish/persistence. A fine oakiness.
