Château Montlisse 2022 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity (revealing a dense, pulpy and juicy fruit at the same time) and offers a beautiful concentration. It offers notes of pulpy wild blackberry, bigarreau cherry and small notes of sweet pepper associated with fine hints of gray pepper, crushed blueberry as well as a subtle touch of toasted/smoked. The palate is fruity, pulpy, bright and offers a nice tangy frame, fat, roundness, a fine unctuosity, a good balance as well as sappy notes (in guideline). On the palate this wine expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, blueberry and small notes of pulpy cassis associated with touches of toasted, nutmeg as well as a hint of crushed strawberry, star anise/zan, bergamot and blond tobacco. Good length. Tannins are juicy. A fine sappy touch in the background of the mouth.
