Château Monregard La Croix 2024 – Pomerol

The nose offers fruit, freshness, a lovely finesse in its intensity and a certain aromatic intensity. There are notes of violet, wild blackberry and small notes of cornflower, associated with touches of bright raspberry, crushed redcurrants, as well as fine hints of lilac, a hint of aniseed and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The palate is well-built, fruity and offers freshness, tension, suppleness, minerality, a certain silkiness, energy and fatness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, bright redcurrant and small notes of crunchy raspberry, combined with touches of lilac, nutmeg, as well as fine hints of cardamom and a hint of toastiness. A lovely freshness and acidity on the red fruit. A nice little coating side in the background. Tangy persistence with a subtle floral hint in the background.
