Château Mongravey 2024 – Margaux

Château Mongravey 2024 – Margaux

The nose is expressive, tangy, chiseled (blackcurrant, bigarreau, raspberry, redcurrants), minty and sappy (wild mint, sap, bark, pine needles). We also find notes of liquorice, star anise, cardamom, a hint of nutmeg, violet, rose petals, coffee, cocoa nibs, toasted wood and toasted hazelnut. The palate offers a good bitterness on the attack (cranberries, wild cherry, coffee), notes of juicy fruits (blackcurrant, bigarreau, raspberry, redcurrants), a sappy and toasted hint (pine sap, fresh wood, nibs, toasted hazelnut, toasted wood). The finish is long and savoury (morello cherry, coffee, chocolate, dried mint), with a salivating acidity, a firm and fine tannic structure, well built. A fragrant wine, with freshness and elegance.
