Château Monconseil Gazin 2020, Blaye Côtes-de-Bordeaux 

On the nose, fruity and offers some tension, a certain concentration, a delicate structure. It reveals notes of pulpy/ripe cassis, violet and subtle notes of fleshy strawberry associated with small touches of blackberry, lily, beautiful minerality, a discreet hint of Cuban pepper and a subtle hint of star anise. On the palate, fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, freshness, good definition, roundness as well as pulpy, controlled/contained richness. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, fleshy blackberry and subtle tones of crushed small red berries associated with hints of violet, pulpy purple plum as well as hints of nutmeg and discreet cardamom. Good length. The tannins offers a fine mellow. A very discreet hint of iris/varietal on the finish.
