The nose is aromatic, relatively elegant and offers a fine gourmandise. It reveals notes of chocolate, mushrooms / spices and crushed blackberries combined with small notes of crushed strawberry, Sichuan pepper and a subtle caramelized hint (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice juiciness, a fine suavity, an acid frame, a racy minerality and a good structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis and fleshy / juicy strawberry combined with fine notes of ripe/jammy redcurrant as well as a touch of fresh raspberry, slight notes of tonka bean, wood, vanilla and a subtle hint of mushroom. Tannins are chewy. Good length and good persistence.
