Château Monbousquet 2023 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh, precise and offers good definition as well as harmony. It reveals notes of ripe/juicy wild cassis, small dense/fresh black fruits and small notes of black pepper associated with touches of fresh spices as well as hints of infusion and violet. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity and offers a small concentration, accuracy, a tangy frame, infusion, good definition, a fine graphite hint as well as darkness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, small dense black berries and small notes of graphite/incense associated with touches of star anise, violet, a subtle hint of purple fig, toast as well as a very discreet sappy and grilled hint. Good length. A nice freshness and minerality.
