Château Monbousquet 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé 

The nose is fruity and offers freshness as well as a small concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, black plum, small notes of violet associated with touches of pulpy raspberry as well as fine hints of vanilla and a discreet hint of zan. The mouth is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, gourmandize, a good definition, a certain control, a certain richness, a nice fine grain, a nice roundness/delicacy as well as freshness. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/fleshiness, fleshy cassis, small notes of violet associated with touches of blueberry, raspberry, blueberry, small notes of black fruits, hints of tonka bean/mocha, cornflower as well as fine hints of nutmeg, vanilla and a discreet hint of caramelization. The tannins are precis and finely soft. Good length. Nice bitterness at the end of the palate.
