Château Meyney 2024 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fruity, elegant, precise, textured and well-built. It offers a fine creaminess in freshness, a lovely energy and grain. It reveals notes of boysenberry, fairly ripe strawberry charlotte and small notes of crushed redcurrant and bright cranberry, associated with touches of lilac, bergamot, infusion, as well as a hint of Sichuan pepper and delicate hints of toasted hazelnut. The palate is well-built, fruity, fresh and mineral. It offers a tangy frame, freshness, precision, a certain tension, suppleness, minerality, energy and a lovely stretched side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of brilliant cassis, fairly ripe red cherry and small notes of small roasted-elegant red berries, combined with touches of lilac, a fine, sappy hint, discreet notes of cornflower, star anise, as well as hints of chocolate, bourbon vanilla and a hint of toasted hazelnut. A nicely textured wine, gourmand on the fruit, precise, finely creamy with an airy, juicy character. A great success ! Beautiful persistence.
