The nose is aromatic, minty at first, with distinct notes of black fruits and their tanginess (cassis, morello cherry, wild blackberry). It also expresses notes of red cherry, crushed raspberry, tangy strawberry, menthol, dried peppermint, pine needles, liquorice, even a little star anise, fresh flowers (lilac, rose, violet), as well as elegant and subtle toasted and chocolatey touches (dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut, fresh almond, a hint of fresh wood, subtle and enveloped). The palate is solid, but not dry, well constructed, and offers straightness, accuracy, precision, a grain of fine tannins. The attack is on the flavors of black fruits (cassis, morello cherry, wild blackberry), complemented by a touch of bird cherry in the background with a hint of bitterness. We then find the toasted notes (hazelnut, bitter almond, cocoa), spices (liquorice, star anise). The finish is salivating, tangy, solid, quite ripe, toasted and chocolatey. Gourmandise and a refined, airy touch.
