The nose is elegant, racy, gourmand, slightly powerful and offers a good structure as well as a nice grain. It reveals notes of blackberry and gravel / terroir associated with small notes of raspberry, ripe wild red berries as well as touches of cocoa, violet and a very discreet hint of black tea. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers a nice definition, a beautiful straightness, a beautiful freshness, a slight juiciness, a nice grain as well as a slight suavity and an acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, ripe / crushed raspberry and slight notes of black cherry, ripe / crushed redcurrant combined with slight touches of cocoa, Zan, wood as well as discreet touches of cardamom and tea. Tannins are structuring and well-built. Good length and good persistence. (2021+)
