The nose is fruity with power and a fine grain. It is an intense and straight wine with notes of violets, camphor and small notes of racy minerality associated with touches of quite ripe cassis, roasted red berries as well as hints of crushed strawberries and hints of liquorice stick. There is also a subtle note of pepper. The palate is fruity with juiciness of freshness. There is a good definition, a certain tension, accuracy and some gourmandise with a certain purity of the fruit. There are notes of black cherries, even Morello cherries, roasted blackberries and small notes of roasted red berries associated with touches of liquorice sticks, incense, graphite as well as hints of mocha and a fine of caramelized toast. Gradually a hint of clove appears in the background.
