The nose is aromatic and offers intensity, beautiful grain, sensuality as well as a small power/concentration. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe blackberry and small notes of ripe blue fruits associated with small touches of dark chocolate/hazelnut, cornflower/flowers, plum as well as fine hints of Cuben pepper, exotic spices and a very discreet hint of caramelization/nutmeg. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, straightness (a small linear side), tension, a beautiful grain, crunchiness as well as a beautiful touch. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, juicy/fleshy blue fruits and small notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with fine touches of flowers (lilac, cornflower…), a subtle varietal hint as well as discreet hints of dark chocolate, toasted/sweet spices. Good length and persistence. A subtle chew on the finish.
