On the nose, fruity and offers some power, a fine concentration. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and more lightly of fleshy black berries associated with a touch of plum, strawberry, violet as well as fine points of licorice stick and nutmeg. On the palate, it is fruity and offers juiciness, a fresh/acidic structure, good definition and tension. The wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, tart/juicy raspberry and slightly juicy/fresh blackcurrant notes combined with hints of violet, crisp purple plum, lily/lilac as well as hints of mocha, cardamom and a discreet touch of nutmeg. The tannins are finely marked. |
