Château Mayne-Vieil 2019 – Fronsac

On the nose, it is fruity and offers a fine texture as well as a fine concentration. The wine benefits from being decanted beforehand. It reveals notes of luscious boysenberry, juicy / fresh purple plum and more slightly ripe red fruits associated with fine hints of lilac as well as discreet hints of spice and a very discreet hint of the varietal. On the palate it is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, a certain roundness, fattiness as well as a racy minerality. The wine expresses notes of luscious / juicy raspberry, fleshy cassis and more slightly juicy / luscious plum associated with a touch of rose, lilac as well as a subtle hint of fern and discreet tip of chocolate.
