CHÂTEAU MAUVESIN BARTON 2022 – Moulis-en-Médoc

CHÂTEAU MAUVESIN BARTON 2022 – Moulis-en-Médoc

The nose is elegant, racy and offers a fine grain, a small power, all in delicacy and harmony. It reveals notes of bright cassis and bright small red fruits associated with touches of roasted-elegant cherry, sweet pepper, as well as hints of infusion, bergamot and discreet notes of toasted hazelnut, Cubeb pepper and a subtle hint of eucalyptus in the background. On the palate, the wine is beautifully fruity, fresh, clear, mineral and delicately silky and offers good volume, delicacy, suppleness and gourmandise. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, bright cassis and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of bright small red berries, as well as with hints of licorice stick, lily, iodized gravels, nutmeg, toasted almond and a subtle touch of fresh hazelnut. Good length.
