The nose is fresh and pulpy, it offers power and a fine richness of fruit. It has notes of crushed strawberry, fleshy blackcurrant, and more slightly racy minerality, as well as fine spicy hints. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers sweetness, some fat, a fine controlled richness as well as an acidic backbone. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant, pulpy/juicy boysenberry and, more slightly, wild strawberry, combined with hints of violet, pepper and cardamom, as well as discreet hints of spice and toast. The tannins are racy. Good length. Presence of a fine hint of positive bitterness on the finish.
