The nose is racy and deserves to be decanted. There are notes of crunchy blackcurrant, blueberry and, more slightly, violet combined with touches of violet plum as well as hints of liquorice, pepper, crushed cardamom and fine hints of vanilla bean. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, freshness, a fine tension and a certain roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and, more slightly, blueberry, combined with hints of raspberry, crushed redcurrant, blueberry, chocolate, fine Bourbon vanilla and a subtle touch of caramelisation and pepper. The tannins are racy. Subtle hint of good cocoa bitterness on the finish.
