On the nose, aromatic and offers elegance, nice ripe/fresh fruit, some complexity and restrained strength. It reveals notes of boysenberry, morello cherry and slightly strawberry combined with hints of black berries, grey pepper, zan, tea as well as discreet hints of tonka bean and an imperceptible touch of bergamot. On the palate, it is fruity and offers minerality, some juiciness, some delicacy, a little tension as well as a nice definition of the fruit, contained/balanced richness, a little compactness, fat and roundness. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/sparkling blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and more lightly touches of juicy/pulpy raspberry combined with hints of pulpy violet plum, small red berries, violet, rose, bergamot as well as fine wafts of chocolate, a discreet touch of caramelization. Good length. The tannins are massive, elegant, polished and precise.
