Château Marquis d’Alesme 2023 – Margaux Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a certain small concentration, accuracy, a textured side. It expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, fleshy strawberry and more slightly – small pulpy/quite ripe fruits, associated with touches of infusion, star anise and a discreet hint of pepper in the background. The palate is nicely mineral, fruity and offers freshness, accuracy, a certain tension, a tangy frame. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright strawberry, and more slightly – small bright red berries, associated with touches of camphor, tonka bean, as well as fine hints of toast, graphite, crushed almond. A textured side. Savory and mellow tannins, nice delicacy, a subtle sappy hint in the background. Small chew on the finish/persistence.
