Château Mangot 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Beautiful, captivating, spicy and delicate nose that offers precision, a multi-layered side as well as a certain concentration. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, creamy cherry and small notes of purple plum associated with touches of cornflowers, crushed redcurrants, hints of liquorice stick/zan, fine toasted hints as well as a very discreet hint of caramelization and graphene. The palate is beautifully mineral, fresh, juicy and offers brilliance, a certain shine, tension as well as a fine straightness. It is nicely precise. A beautiful velvety texture. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous blackberries, cassis and small notes of black plums associated with touches of red berries as well as fine hints of tonka bean, cardamom, cocoa, subtle hints of sage and sweet spices. There is a hint of rosemary in the background. Tannins are mellow and tasty. Beautiful work on the good bitterness.
