Château Mangot 2020, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

On the nose, fruity, elegant and offers a good definition, a nice fineness of texture as well as a discreetly tight and fine airy side. It reveals notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and slightly violet associated with hints of lily as well as fine touches of nutmeg, a very discreet waft of cardamom and an imperceptible hint of aromatic herbs. On the palate, fruity and offers harmony, juiciness, freshness, good definition as well as nice precision, finesse, some juiciness, a little concentration and fine power. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright black currant and more lightly of small black berries associated with hints of strawberry as well as toasted, roasted, discrete touch of sense of terroir, aromatic herbs and a subtle waft of toasted hazelnut.
