Château Mangot 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fresh, elegant, very discreetly tight and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful finesse, precision of the grain as well as deepness. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, pulpy/juicy cassis, small notes of crunchy/juicy strawberry associated with touches of violet, lilac, small pulpy fruits as well as discreet hints of white pepper spices, very discreet hints of mild tobacco and a iodine hint/sense of the place. The palate is fresh, mineral, elegant, beautifully stretch and offers straightness, a very beautiful precision, a fine suavity, structure (full of finesse) and a beautiful balance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis, bright blackberry, small notes of juicy wild strawberry associated with touches of small bright red berries, violet, iris as well as fine hints of chocolate, sugared mild tobacco, caramelized almond, a subtle hint of orange/citrus and an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background). Tannins are well-built, elegant, precise and straight. Good length.
