Château Malescot St Exupéry 2023 – Margaux

The nose is racy, precise and offers a certain intensity in finesse and accuracy, with a fine straightness. It expresses notes of ripe blackcurrant, fresh pepper and small notes of strawberry associated with touches of cornflower, star anise and fine hints of roasted cherry, smoke and star anise. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, balanced, and offers good definition, a certain gourmandise, suppleness, a fine suavity, energy. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, morello cherry and small notes of roasted-juicy red fruits, associated with floral touches, as well as fine hints of star anise, nutmeg, smoke and sweet blond tobacco. Good length. The tannins are sapid and gourmand. Nice freshness and juiciness, gourmandise and suppleness.
