Château Malartic Lagravière 2022 – Pessac-Leognan, Grand Cru Classé

The nose offers concentration, gourmandise (chocolate, toasted hazelnut, cocoa, a hint of coffee), ripe fruit (morello cherry, fresh and roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, blackberry, cassis), sweet spices (licorice, hint of star anise, nutmeg, white pepper), aromatic herbs (mint, dried rosemary, dried mint, dried bergamot tea) as well as roasted notes (coffee, toasted hazelnut, cocoa nibs). The palate is airy, tangy, pleasant and elegant, with a fruity attack (morello cherry, fresh red cherry, wild strawberry, blackberry, cassis). Then, we find the aromatic herbs (dried rosemary, dried mint) and sweet spices (licorice, hint of star anise, nutmeg). Good persistence on the bitterness of cocoa and coffee, a tangy side of cocoa nibs and a toasted hint of hazelnut. Beautiful salivating acidity, The tannins are fine, but solid, sweet side of vanilla and dark chocolate on the persistence.
