The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. On the first nose, we find juicy and fruity notes of red cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, fresh raspberry and black plum in the background, with a refreshing and chiseled herbaceous touch (blackcurrant leaf, peppermint, dry pine needles). The second nose expresses spicy aromas of liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper and cardamom, associated with delicate woody notes and nuances of torrefaction (coffee, toasted hazelnut, heated wood in the background), as well as a floral touch (dried cornflower, dried peony in the background) and with a hint of chocolate which appears after aeration. The mouth is straight and precise, but closed. It expresses the flavors of ripe morello cherry, blackcurrant, black plum, blackberry and red cherry, combined with warm, spicy and woody notes – cocoa, liquorice, cardamom, white pepper, coffee. There are also notes of dried peppermint, dried pine needles and dried cornflower. The tannins are melted and supple, with a fine, powdery grain. The finish is persistent, with salivating acidity and good bitterness. A complex wine, but closed for the moment.
