Château Malagar 2020 – Cadillac Côtes-de-Bordeaux 

The nose is spicy and offers a small concentration, a fine power. It reveals notes of pulpy wild blackberry, cassis, small notes of violet associated with touches of zan, tobacco, bright cherry, plum as well as fine hints of camphor and green cardamom. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, a good definition, a small tension, a certain straightness, a slightly tight grain, a slightly tight tannic frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, violet, bright Boysen berry, small notes of violet associated with touches of small red berries, zan, liquorice as well as hints of camphor, tobacco, grilled almond, a subtle hint of roasted and black pepper. Good length. A fine softness in the finish/persistence. Tannins are discreetly dry.
