The nose is well-defined, slightly restrained and concentrated. There are notes of pulpy blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and, more slightly, small red berries combined with hints of violet, lily and fine notes of tobacco and caramelisation. The palate is fruity and reveals freshness, fine grain, minerality, energy, definition, roundness and a certain brightness/pulpiness of fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, crushed raspberry and more slightly bright cherry combined with a touch of fleshy/fresh purple plum, lily as well as hints of liquorice stick, nutmeg, toastiness and a subtle touch of vanilla.
