Château Magrez La Peyre 2017 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fresh, juicy, elegant, racy, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse. It reveals notes of blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and ripe wild blackberry associated with fine touches of liquorice, racy minerality, vanilla, toasted/buttered oak as well as a very discreet hint of flowers and an imperceptible hint of gray pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, racy, mineral, precise and offers juiciness, a beautiful freshness, tension, a fine unctuosity, density as well as an acid frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, juicy strawberry and more slightly raspberry, racy minerality associated with a subtle hint of fresh redcurrant (in the background), toasted and vanilla. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. The finish is very slightly powdered.
