Chateau Magdeleine Bouhou – Grand Vin 2019 – Blaye Côte de Bordeaux

The nose is well-built and offers a certain power (full of finesse) as well as a very fine freshness. It reveals notes of blackberries, small black fruits and small notes of flowers (violet, peony, etc.) associated with touches of raspberry, morello cherry as well as hints of green pepper and very fine, almost caramelized hints. The palate is fruity, elegant and offers a good definition, gourmandise, a fine acidulous frame, juiciness, tension (full of finesse), roundness, freshness as well as suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cassis, pulpy / juicy small black fruits and small notes of lily / peony associated with hints of morello cherry, wild raspberry as well as fine hints of liquorice, black pepper, a discreet hint of fresh tobacco (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of ripe hazelnut (in the background). Tannins are fine and elegant. Good length. Very slight hints of chocolate on the finish / persistence.
