Château Madran – Cuvée Prestige 2021 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose reveals gourmandize, concentration, power, dynamism, and elegance. There are notes of wild red berries, raspberry and more slightly fresh/ripe blackcurrant combined with fine touches of violet, Sichuan pepper and a fine, very discreet hint of nutmeg and vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness/minerality, tension, good balance/airiness in its balances despite some power/richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of raspberry, juicy/pulpy blackcurrant and more lightly fleshy/juicy strawberry combined with touches of violet, lily, racy minerality, chocolate and fine hints of toasted almond and a touch of vanilla.
