The nose is fruity, revealing fleshy fruit and gravelly minerality. There are notes of pulpy strawberry, pulpy blackcurrant and more lightly cherry combined with a touch of cherry blossom, liquorice and a subtle hint of graphite. The palate is mineral, fruity and offers some stretch and acidity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy plum, fresh/pulpy cherry and more lightly tart/juicy currant combined with hints of star anise and hints of gravelly minerality and a subtle hint of toastiness/caramelisation.
