The nose is racy and offers a small elegant darkness as well as some spices. It reveals notes of boysenberry, cubeb pepper and small notes of small dense red fruits associated with touches of star anise, fresh blond tobacco as well as a hint of zan and a subtle sappy hint. The palate is fruity and offers suavity, freshness, a good definition, a certain gourmandise, accuracy as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous blackberry, juicy/acidulous cherry and small notes of pulpy/acidulous redcurrants associated with touches of toast, salinity/iodine as well as hints of blond tobacco. Tannins are fine and mellow. Good length. A hint of good varietal bitterness and cocoa in the background.
