The nose is marked by a racy, frank grain and a little power. We perceive notes of graphene/incense, pepper, more precisely blackcurrant, associated with touches of wild blackberry, and fine hints of sweet spices, as well as a subtle almost balsamic hint. The palate is fruity, with juiciness, racy minerality and acidity. We find notes of juicy/tart blackcurrant, accompanied by fresh/tart blackberry, and cherry, all associated with a touch of violet, tobacco, star anise, chocolate, as well as a fine hint of toasted hazelnut. We also discover a chewiness and a certain gourmandise. Tannins are mellow and sapid, with a fine varietal hint (sappy) which guides the tasting. Good persistence on chocolate.
