The nose is fruity, fresh, precise, clean and concentrated. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, fresh/crisp blackberry and more lightly spiced with hints of pepper and fine clove. The palate is fruity and reveals freshness, minerality, acidity, tension and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, fresh/crisp blackcurrant and more lightly red berry fruit combined with hints of fresh lily, racy minerality and an almost saline quality in the background. Good length. Fine hints of toast and chocolate. A little mellowness, a fine hint of toastiness on the finish.
