Château Liouner 2019 – Listrac-Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The wine benefits from being decanted. The nose offers a certain power. There are notes of wild blackberry, spices and, more slightly, crunchy blackcurrant, combined with hints of raspberry and fine pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, roundness, a certain fatness, finesse and good control. Good freshness and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, crunchy blackberry and more slightly crushed red currant combined with touches of racy minerality, fresh berries, fine hints of fresh violet, zan and a discreet hint of star anise, a very discreet almost sappy hint and a subtle hint of fresh blond tobacco.
