Château Lilian Ladouys 2019 – Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel

The nose is fresh, racy and offers a certain elegance as well as intensity in control and a certain finesse in its power. There are notes of pulpy cherry, fresh/ripe wild strawberry and more slightly pulpy berries combined with hints of violet, liquorice, and subtle hints of violet, lily, sweet spice and pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh and offers minerality, good definition, roundness, sweetness, fine grain, controlled richness and good definition/purity of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, pulpy/juicy wild raspberry and more slightly pulpy blackcurrant combined with hints of blueberry, lily as well as fine nuances of sweet blond tobacco, vanilla and a subtle hint of positive bitterness. There is a fine hint of roast in the background.
